This video features the Transcontinental Railroad National Back Country Byway located in Utah and long distance atv rides. It looks like it would be a lot of fun to do some extended, long distance overnight rides!

When I was a kid, we used to trail sheep, from the Grouse Creek Mountains, along the old Transcontinental Railroad, to Brigham City, then on up the canyon to Monti Cristo. It took about 3 weeks with ewes and lambs. We still own about 20,000 acres on the west side of Promontory, but the family ranch, like many others, is now a thing of the past. In it’s hey day, my Grandfather owned 118,000 acres and leased about 60,000 more. We ran about 17,000 ewes and lambs in the summer. There was plenty of work for us grandkids!
Wow! That is a lot of sheep and sounds like a lot of work.
Now thats the type of trail riding i like! Nice video keep ’em coming.
Thanks! I liked that video too. I will see what I can find. Thanks for the feedback!
