Mackay Idaho has some interesting places to ride your ATV, thanks to all of the mining that has gone on in the area. This has resulted in a lot of roads and trails that are available for exploration. Head on over to blm.gov to learn more about where to ride. They have some good photos of the mine. Also check out the website for the town of Mackay, Idaho for more information on what to do there and what to see.
This video is about ATV trail ethics in Idaho, but also applies to other states. This video also covers the 50′ width limit of machines on USFS and BLM trails and what may happen if you are caught with anything larger then that on one of their trails.
A few years back I went on a ride to the Cinnabar Ghost town located near Yellowpine Idaho. I am re-posting these photos again to bring awareness to the Forest Service’s attempts to close off this area of Idaho and destroy the town. They have already destroyed historical structures in this area. For more information I encourage you to check out Idaho VS USFS blog Click Here for Idaho VS USFS!
In this video, we have a guy trying to drift his Can-Am Outlander Max. Unfortunately, he gets some traction at the wrong time and rolls it. He would have been better off wearing a helmet instead of a suit and tie.
Check out the Gear Gator! I can think of a few times where I could have used something like this to safely haul stuff. Sometimes the racks on a ATV just cant handle everything you would like to take with you.
Here is a good review from Dirt Trax Television. The Polaris Ranger 400 is the side by side that you can easily haul in the bed of your truck! If your looking for a affordable side by side, you might have to take a look at this.
